The establishment of Bhagwati Educational Institution was laid on 7-7-2000 in Chittorgarh Rajasthan. By Mrs. Bhagwati Devi Sharma’s eldest brother Mr. Ramswaroop Ji Ojha, Advocate in Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur. The registration number of the institution is 6/2000-04 dated 7-7-2000. The installation of the office is near the old post office, Sadar Bazar Chittorgarh. Mrs. Bhagwati Devi Sharma was born on 2-4-1943 in a reputed Sukhwal Brahmin family, in Bassi village. Her father was Shri Krishna Ji Ojha and mother Mrs. Gheesi Bai. Later on, she married to Mr. Ruplal Ji Sharma who was working in the Medical Department, Chittorgarh.
Contribution as a teacher
Mrs. Bhagwati has been a teacher in the Department of Elementary Education, Government of Rajasthan.
Started service as on 21.02.1968 and after that took voluntary retirement in the year 2001. She has served the state for 33 years with a bright record of services rendered.
During her term she won trust of officers, staff students and parents. Her form was commendable. So on this basis, on September 24, the District Collector awarded her with District level award and on 5th September 1995 by Governor Award. Later on, she received the National Level Award by the President on 5 September 1996.
As a social worker
She also did the construction and renovation for the temple, Dharamshala, school and college, etc. Since 2008 she is the president of the Mahila Morcha of Sukhwal society.
As an educationist
After voluntary retirement, she laid the foundation of Bhagwati Education Trust in July 2000 and also established B.Ed College on 3 December 2000. After eight years of hard work in April 2008 Bhagwati Women’s Teacher Training College was established. Since 2005 the Case for recognition of the establishment of Bhagwati International School, Chittorgarh is running in the District Educational Officer.
Under Babu Jagjivan Ram Hostel scheme, New Delhi one crore rupees project is passed for 50 scheduled caste girl students on 15-11-2014 for “Shabari Girls Hostel”.
In short her work in the field of women empowerment and education is commendable.
